Ahoy!
Rob and Sarah bought a sailboat in 2017 and moved aboard with the plan to fix her up and sail her around the world. In September 2020, having resigned from their office jobs and sold/gifted all of their possessions but those that could fit on the boat (minus a few totes at Sarah’s parents’ house), they sailed out of the mouth of the Columbia River and into the Pacific Ocean. Over two years later, they are still aboard a sailboat named Mapache (Spanish for raccoon), exploring the world. This is the log of their journey. We hope you will follow along and join Mapache’s virtual crew to get the latest boat logs.
