For Sale: Cruising-Ready Sailboat in Banderas Bay

Mapache is a heavy displacement, full keel, double-ended sailboat, outfitted to go cruising now. She underwent major refits in 2020 and 2021.

Are you ready to sail around the world or do you want a reliable boat to enjoy the Sea of Cortés? The boat spent the last two cruising seasons in the Sea. With her Hasse-made (Port Townsend Sails) light-air asymmetrical spinnaker, easy boarding with a swim ladder, and cockpit shades and cushions, this boat is the perfect way to enjoy the Sea’s beauty. She is also ready to sail across the Pacific, with a watermaker, windvane, and almost-new heavy-duty cruising sails (Ballard Sails).

We spent much time, money, and thought in preparing this boat to go around the world. However, Rob’s father passed away, and we are now moving onto his boat. We hope to see our beloved (and well-equipped) Mapache go to someone who will enjoy and care for her.
